As has been stated several times, I do feel that letting the community vote brings it down to a popularity contest to some extent. Personally I'd rather all the videos were sent to the Playbrains team, but I'm okay with the "judging panel" as well.

Alright guys, we talked it over, and we've decided to send all 18 videos (yes, even yours, vempajor) to Playbrains. Sorry for all the drama, and I really hope that we can all move past this and enjoy the videos! May the best one win!

The poll is now closed, and all votes are void. Each video will be judged by merit only by the Madballs dev team. As for the interim winners, they have not been forgotten. They will be awarded their prizes with the rest.

Because I was checking the site anyways...   I present, "Who I would pick (and why) if I were the judge"

#1) Aprone - Fan/Advertisement style.  Action packed game footage with weapon sounds (important I think), CGI of Pett at the end, and a cat (vital for any good internet video).

#2 TorNis - Music video style.  Very creative and clearly the result of a lot of work!  This is a good example of what people expect "fan videos" to be.  If the video had been this babo mix played by the "keyboard cat" (h ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J---aiyznGQ) I would have had NO CHOICE but to rank it as my #1!)

#3 Roshy - Comedy roast style.  Most of us carefully cut/cropped your videos to focus on the super action packed 10% of B:I.  This video focuses on the other 90% of the game, and does so in a humorous way.

#4 Eccod - Fan/Advertisement style.  Good game footage captured from plenty of interesting angles.  The video isn't as action packed as some, but the video does a great job of showing aspects of the game and game modes.

#5 Benetti32 - Fan/Advertisement style.  Great gameplay footage that is also captured from some very creative angles!



Many of the other 13 videos were creative, but I didn't feel they were as entertaining as the 5 I picked.  I basically asked myself if a video was entertaining enough that I would watch it again.  (Quite a few failed that criteria lol)  Good job to everyone though!

Aprone, if you wanted to post your favorite top 5, then you shouldn't just place yourself on top. And that's after you spoke about sportsmanship. lol.
And btw, I am surprised your top 5 don't even include Sonic4Ever's video. How could video with such effort can be simply ignored?

I don't think putting myself on top of my own list is poor sportsmanship.  I think it would be poor sportsmanship if I had been criticizing anyone's video.  I simply gave the 5 I thought were most entertaining and constructive comments about each.  In the spirit of constructive-only criticism I can't explain why any specific video didn't make my top 5.

We CAN, but it doesn't affect anything.  I just figure that after the results are given by Playbrains most of us will never look at this thread again.  Now is pretty much the time to chat if there's ever going to be.

I like the way the top prize was split as judging an outright winner would have been a terribly difficult decision with the quality displayed. I'm also glad all videos were judged by playbrains to ensure these entrees weren't overlooked by elimination. Fairness prevails yet again.

Let's hope they all propagate their way through machinima gameavision and bring in some more players to join the ranks.
