Why I do not want:

• No stylus support (on a tablet!)
• Still no flash
• Still no multitasking (on a so-called netbook killer!)
• No camera
• Same keyboard, but huge
• No new shit at all, really
• Crazy expensive + data plan

So all in all, it's like they took a picture of an iPod Touch, zoomed in, and designed around that. A total waste of time, money, and effort. Fail.

Honestly, I thought the worst when I read ipad. New tagline, "It's not what you think."

For real, it sounds like a feminine hygiene product.

I want it. But because of different reasons then you guys. I hate netbooks, really hate them, they are just too slow for me. I want something that's instant on and I can just my mail, browse and tweet on it. There are styluses for capacative touchscreens si that's not really a problem for me.

Flash I really don't want, as of late I have been experiencing just how badly optimized it is. With youtube bringing their version of 1080p flash it just shows how bad flash is. I'd much rather see HTML5 being adopted. Multitasking is not an issue for me. If I want to multitask I have a computer, A netbook doesn't do that great either. It's not that expensive for a tablet and you don't have to get a data plan, just use WiFi.

And camera? Really?! what do you need it for? I'm sorry I cannot imagine a good use for a camera on there. Video conferencing? I don't want to carry my dock around everywhere just to prop it up to video conference. The only other solution is to hold it in your hand, which just seems silly.

I think the device has potential and fits what I need it to do. Yes I could probably upgrade my computer for that price, but I don't need to as of late. The games I mainly want run fine and since my windows pc is not my work pc i'm not bothered to much...

PS : There is a spin of off multitasking for the proprietary software. But do you really wanna get rid of any power by running more then one app? When I use my moms netbook I can definitely tell how slowed down it is when running more apps.

It is a mobile device.... Also who said it was a full on netbook killer? Yes Jobs compared it to a netbook, that doesn't mean he sees it destroying them. netbooks will be around as they are cheap and affordable, but they are far from a good piece of kit. Now Ultra-lights (such as the Asus UL30) that is a good solution for mobile computing.

They want the iPad to be a competitor as most people use netbooks to browse the web and listen to music, and the iPad is in my opinion a better solution for that. Netbooks nor the iPad are really meant for power users....

I can't wait until this "iLife" fad goes away.
